You reach for it. And I do too.

It’s what makes us check our phones, drink, smoke, turn our music up, eat extra chocolate.

It’s where we go when we’re feeling uncomfortable. We hide. We escape, if only for a little while.

Fear makes us want an escape, instead of taking a stand. 

The other choice is a process, but it can lead to long term growth, and more stability. 

Accepting to be seen. Accepting that we have the fear. Being open about it with others. And then countering it. Dancing with it. Living despite it. Overcoming it. It’s always there but it doesn’t keep us from acting.

That’s what happens if we give into the fear. We remove sentences from our lives.
